PSW 110 gone bad, Polk customer service a terrible experience
This started out as a technical question.
I found this forum when yesterday my PSW 110 started making some awful sounds. When I searched the internet, I found multiple examples where people are having the exact same experience I am. I've always taken excellent care of my stereo stuff. So I was at a loss as to what happened to my sub.
I called Polk customer service and when I finally got someone on the line, he said the amp was probably bad. Up to that point, mission accomplished. I needed to find out what happened to my sub, and I did. When the rep asked me for my date of purchase, I was a little confused at first, but then I realized he was going into a warranty repair. This caught me off guard because I called for technical support. I did not have a receipt at hand. I was simply honest with him and said I wasn't sure on an exact date, maybe 2-3 years.
Then the strangest thing happened, his entire attitude changed and he became curt and rude. I was nothing but polite and professional. Within 30 seconds he accused me of "trying to get free stuff". I responded by saying "I'm not trying to get anything for free, I just don't know my exact date of purchase and I'm not sure I have a receipt". In all honesty, I didn't go into the call expecting a repair. I called for technical support. All I wanted to know is what was wrong with my sub. I didn't have the chance to tell him this however, because he hung up on me.
I have never been treated so poorly by a customer service representative. I'm to the point I really don't care if the sub is bad or if it can be fixed. After this experience, I want to go with another brand when I replace the sub and don't think I will ever again purchase any Polk product. What an awful experience.

SurroundBar SDA - program Harmony Smart Control remote
We have the old school SurroundBar SDA and are trying to program a Logitech Harmony Smart Control remote (uses a hub) to operate the Polk soundbar. Anyone had success with this? I am aware the soundbar uses IR but the Harmony is supposed to be able to work with any type signal, or so we thought. Thanks for any help!

Any suggestions about what amp to purchase for Polk rti12s?
Looking to drive my rti12s along with a new avr. I was thinking the denon 3500h. Any advice? I'm just getting back into the audio game. Thanks in advance.. .P.S. trying to stay under $1000 for an amp.

FS- Linn LK240’s (monoblocks-pair)
So I have had these for a little while now, maybe under 6 months, and already have the bug. I’m sure if you follow the forum, you’ll see why I am selling. At this time although I have 2 pairs, I will only be selling one pair.
They are flawless. Powerful. And very high quality.
They sold for $1200 each when new and still hold their own with today’s newer amps. They have been recapped about 8 years ago by Linn. They were purchased used from a Linn dealer here in Atlanta. I currently have two running my Elacs, and only at ear bleeding levels (which I like) do they seem to run out of steam. They are rated at 125wpc into 8ohms and 240wpc into 4
They will need “Z” type Bananas as they have the post in the middle of the speaker connector.
Again, I’m only selling as I probably will never need an additional pair. I’m keeping the other two and I want them for a later in life two channel setup when one of the kids move out.
I would like to get what I have in them because I got them at a great deal. $800 for the pair plus shipping. I will box them up right (ask anyone who has gotten anything from me, I ship very responsibly)

Drones
I just ordered my first drone, (toy one) I want to test it out before I step up and make an investment into one that I may crash first time out. In my line of work (construction, Industrial and commercial inspections) I see where this will come in handy, especially checking out flood control issues. Does anyone here have one? and can you share some of your views and experiences with these hobby/work tools/toys.

Weather at Your House?
WIth winter here I have been seeing that so far the northeast and mid west have been getting some nice weather recently. As a frequent flyer and traveller. I am always needing to check the weather at my destinations and usually use Intellicast.com as a friend of mine who is a pilot/skydiver tuned me into some years ago... No BS adverts no political agenda.... just the weather and easy to search with forecasts and radar and frequent updates... works on everything...

Snake!
My friend was cleaning his car in the garage a few minutes ago and found this waiting to greet him. Looks like a Rattlesnake but, appears to be a Bullsnake since we're in central Illinois. He was able to use a rake and get it into a box and release it. Boy, if that wouldn't get your heart rate going!

Subwoofer/soundbar will not connect
I have followed the instructions repeatedly and cannot get my sigma sound bar to connect.
I should mention, that it was working, then stopped, I managed to reconnect, and now it disconnected and will not connect again. Not sure why it shuts off.

705s Placement in Corners?!
See pics for my current placement. I’m wondering if moving them to the corners would give bigger soundstage and fatten out the bass a bit. It seems like corners are a big no no in general based on setups I’ve seen here, right? Thoughts?
