Are you READY for some FOOTBALL!!!

I know I am. and as a Vikings fan, I always have very high expectations(and always get let down.)

I am under no illusions this season however, but I do have some confidence in the direction my Purple Gang is going under Mike Zimmer. I just got a new expression to use on my guys at work... "We are done talking about the labor, just show me the baby."

This guy is a straight-talking, no bs kind of guy that really seems to have the respect of his team, and that can only mean good things down the road.

I would be happy this year with an 8-8 season after the debacle last year, but that Lombardi and a ring would be sweet!(it is still preseason, so I can still dream:lol:)

Question about WAV and FLAC Hard Disk Storage Systems and Recommendations

My new T+A PM3000MV has many inputs for external storage to access the T+A DACS, the internal T+A DACS supports up 192kHz / 32bit depending on how you connect. The unit has built-in streaming capabilities and can access a NAS and directly attached USB drives - which would make my life easier to use, but the recommend highest resolution method of connecting to the unit is using it's SPDIF's connections and specifically the BNC and AES-EBU inputs, as the two optical digital and RCA Coax inputs max out at 96 kHz.

Can anybody recommend a digital media solution the would directly connect to the PM3000MV via BNC or AES-EBU?

Including Cassette Tape people! Not sure if I qualify as a Tapehead yet, but there are others out there!
http://www.tapeheads.net/

I for one, went down memory lane, after discovering that there are quite a few bands (5 Finger Death Punch caught my attention) newly releasing there music on cassette tapes!

So recently, I snagged a player. 15 bucks. Minimal TLC, got the baby purring.

Sure enough, Mark, @mhardy6647 , affectionately known as Doc, or Professor decided to Karma a collection of cassette tapes for me. Wow! All of which are new to me (except the Boston tape). Lots of playing and fun this weekend. Especially looking forward to the Clapton/BB King tape.

All I can say is. thank you very much Mark! Karma does indeed abound here on CP!

SDA 2B Imaging/Sound Staging at lower volumes

$

I love my SDA 2bs but I have one major issue and I was wondering what others think. When I have the volume cranked up, they are truly alive. Sound stage is extremely large, the imaging is better than any other speaker I've ever had, and they just sound good. My problem comes when i listen to them at lower levels..... let's say normal talking volume(or somewhat higher). When I listen at this level something just feels off. The sound stage is smaller and the sound between the speakers seems like it is smooshed to one side instead of being evenly distributed.

Is this a normal characteristic of these speakers? Is there anything I can do to improve lower listening levels? I have been saving money to do major upgrades(tl crossover, hurricane, ect ect) and want to do them in the near future. Will the upgrades help with this?

Lastly, the reason listening levels are such a concern to me, is because of my wife. She has had hearing issues all her life and about 7 years ago got titanium implant. Now when the volume gets to loud it causes her physical pain in her ears. I would like to listen to music at lower volumes with her but as stated earlier it just sounds off.

Thanks

Notes:
rdo-194s are currently installed and the polyswitch is removed

The speakers are in my living room 6ft apart, about 5 inches from back wall with plenty of empty space to the sides of the speaker.

SDA cable is being used

I'm using a adcom GFA-555(so about 325 watts at 4 ohms) for a amp

A schiit Vali 2 is being used as pre (ya i know ill get somthing better when i can)

Doing some moving around of gear in the two channel rig, and have settled on these.

I have owned the phono preamp before, but I am really looking forward to the X0.2... I have sold the Krell, and the sale of my Pass X-1 will pay for getting the Xono back in the mix, and also pay for the upgrade to the new pre, and still leave me with extra cash in the bank.

Thanks to @Darqueknight for his thoroughness in reviewing his gear. If there is one guy on this forum I could emulate his audio journey, it would be him.

Quick question.

I made a post a few hours ago. A few minutes after my post I made a quick edit to the post. When I resubmitted my post it just disappeared. I haven’t seen it since. What did I do wrong? Is there anyway to get my post back?

Thanks,

Craig

S10 or S15

Happy Monday :)

So I was thinking of being nice to myself for Christmas.

I currently have T15 as my surrounds. I was thinking of changing them with S10's but right now I can go for S15's for the same price on Amazon.

Would the S15 be that much better than the S10 at surround duty? How much better would either be over the T15 for surrounds.

Other thing to consider is WAF how much more of a standout are these over my current T15?

Here is my current setup of T15

The Mrs and I are off until next year! This has always been a chance to catch up on some movies. Went and saw this one. Very good movie!.

For me, Clint is the complete package, from the early year westerns to his directing skill later in his years. And, of course, his view of our great country!

Looking to buy 2 channel amp

Like the title reads, I'm looking to purchase a nice 2 channel amplifier. I'm searching for the likes of B&K 200.2, ex4420. Perhaps a Parasound hca1500, hca2200. I would also consider Adcom gfa555. I'm sure there are plenty more that would be comparable to these.

I would need it to be able to handle 8 and 4 ohm loads. If anyone has a spare sitting around not being used please reach out to me. I'm located in Southern California.

Thanks
